Unbreakable Identities
Through Simon Berger's art, simple sheets of glass come alive under the blows of his hammer, which is not used as a weapon to destroy but rather fulfills the function of a paintbrush that leaves its mark on a canvas, which instead of shattering cracks, following a precise pattern that takes on defined contours according to the intensities of the blows inflicted so as to reproduce lines and areas of shadow. The closer and shorter the blows, the stronger the contrasts and shades. Points seemingly disjointed from each other give life to a portrait that shows itself thanks to a perspective game that increases its rendering when taken by a cell phone camera. A limited edition of exclusive pieces, named "Unbreakable Identities," which is aimed at a contemporary art-loving audience.
