Gallotti&Radice, IED and Salvioni Design Solutions together
for the new chapter of Suonare Stella

Paolo-Stella-new

Gallotti&Radice is among the partners of the new chapter of Suonare Stella, the concept created by Paolo Stella together with Salvioni Design Solutions to explore new frontiers in design communication. The first step was the ‘White Canvas’ furnishing project created by Salvioni Design Solutions for the influencer's home, an installation aimed at showing the creative potential of the furnishing elements temporarily made available by the brands that together with Gallotti&Radice took part in the initiative. By skilfully and carefully mixing the distinctive styles of the companies involved, a project was created that succeeded in blending the different identities into a harmonious unicum under the banner of total white with the intention of inspiring the IED students for their interior design of Paolo Stella's Milan flat. In the living room, the Audrey pouf by Massimo Castagna, the Haumea coffee tables also by Massimo Castagna, the Cookies coffee tables designed by Pietro Russo and the Fante coffee tables by Studio G&R stand out. The Sole mirror, also by Studio G&R, completes the ambience. In the lounge area, attention is instead captured by the Audrey sofa by Massimo Castagna. Enhancing the ambience are the Prism Low coffee tables by david/nicolas and Haumea. The dining area has been placed in the bow-window, the only black spot in an ultra-white panorama, where the Lou poufs by Studio G&R are placed. Valuable is the ‘home - working’ graft where the 0414 chair plays the starring role, indispensable for those who find themselves working at home but want to enjoy a certain comfort. As a whole, this project wanted to demonstrate how a canvas, even a blank one, can be enriched with taste and beauty if skilfully orchestrated.

The second part of the initiative involves the IED students and plans to bring to life the project of the trio that won as best interpretation for both Paolo Stella's flat (in place from February to June) and Salvioni Milano Durini's shop windows (in place from February until the Salone del Mobile). A unique opportunity for the young designers of tomorrow who had the chance to experience first-hand interior design dropped into a concrete context. The students were in fact given the opportunity to work in collaboration with Salvioni Design Solutions, Paolo Stella and the brands involved, measuring themselves against the real dynamics of the relationship with the retail world.  The design phase was preceded by a training course, a fundamental requirement to offer the students a practical and direct experience, which combined the didactic dimension with the possibility of concrete interaction with the brand's materials and products. Gallotti&Radice, with the noble aim of breaking down the frontiers between the academic and professional worlds, organised workshop days inside the Flagship Store in via Cavallotti. These events, which welcomed more than 150 students, provided an in-depth look at design-related topics, encouraging experiential learning that stimulated an understanding of our materials and craftsmanship. Following this, the students divided into groups tried their hand at defining the interior design of both Paolo Stella's house and the Salvioni Design Solutions showroom. A panel composed of Paolo Stella, representatives of Salvioni and the brands involved judged the projects during a dedicated session at the IED.  The winners were the students Zhazira Akhmet, Ilinca Moisa and Laura Tavera-Bobrzyk with the entry‘Reach for the Stella’ who will see their interior design idea realised in the two locations. Alongside the choral recognition of the winning project, Gallotti&Radice awarded a special mention to the proposal by Roberta Atzeni, Rebecca Balestrazzi and Micaela Teruzzi entitled ‘Invisible’.
